On one of my many internet meanders I came across an amazing little company called The Secret Shed Company based in Huddersfield West Yorkshire. The guy creates tailor-made timber houses and play dens for adults and children.
It really got my imagination going and I knew at once Monkey had to have a little den of his own. After doing some extensive research and knowing I’m not quite ready in the DIY skills to create my own little masterpiece from scratch we decided to purchase a base playhouse and personalise it to our taste.
I’d so loved the wonky sided sheds that The Secret Shed Company produced and I was so excited when I found an outdoor games company that had a variety of flat pack wonky playhouses to choose from. Though these playhouses don’t have the unique style of the bespoke made dens, I knew we could add to it in a creative way so that it didn’t just look like another off the shelf wooden playhouse.
We decided to go with the Redwood Tower Playhouse which came with a low-level platform and chunky red slide perfect for our little man.
